The 2018 Accord is going to be a tough act to follow, but if anyone can deliver the goods, it’s definitely Honda. The manufacturer’s complete redesign of last year’s Accord was a smashing success despite the proliferation of crossover vehicles in the automotive landscape.
Last year, Honda broke free from the rather conservative style that dominated past generations of the Accord and gave it a much sportier overall vibe. The 2018 Accord also went on a considerable diet from its predecessor and shed about 100 pounds of overall weight. This naturally improved horsepower and fuel efficiency numbers for the vehicle. While last year’s Accord was shorter than the previous generation, the interior actually became more spacious thanks to some smart engineering from the folks at Honda.
We expect the 2019 version of the Accord to continue to be available in five trim levels:
The best bang for your buck in our personal opinion? We believe that will continue to be the Sport trim. It’s priced just a bit above the base LX, but includes features like Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and sports exterior features like 19-inch alloy wheels. Rest assured, however, that no matter which trim you go with in the 2019 Accord lineup, you’re getting a solid value that’s sure to last for many years and miles down the road.

Given the complete redesign of last year’s Accord, we don’t expect much if anything to change on the inside of the car. There could be some additional features offered, but as for wholesale/drastic changes, we don’t see anything like that on the horizon.
The 2019 Accord will most likely once again sport an available 8-inch touchscreen system with a wealth of infotainment options including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You’ll also get the Honda Sensing safety technology package, which includes Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Mitigation System, and Collision Mitigation Braking System.
Just like last year, we expect the 2019 Honda Accord to be offered in eight exterior paint color options:
The standard engine on last year’s Accord was a 1.5L powerplant delivering 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft torque. We don’t expect that to change for the 2019 model year, and also continue to expect a 2.0L turbocharged engine (252 horsepower/273 lb-ft torque) to be available with the midsized sedan.
